Functional Description
The air scoop to hose adapter assembly provides the means for connecting a ground cooling source to the ram air scoop for the vlf dual wire antenna hydraulic drive system heat exchanger, during ground operation of the antenna system, the adapter assembly consists of a fiberglass duct equipped, with a hose coupler, two welded bracket assemblies, and a strap assembly. The duct, hose coupler and one bracket assembly are riveted together to form the inlet connection. The two bracket assemblies fit into the ram air inlet and exit ducts, and the straps adjust to secure the parts in place on the air scoop. The hose coupler mates with a standard 12-inch hose coupler provided on the ground cooling source
