G2 basic components are electric strain gage type load cell and electronic didgital indicator; fully self contained and portable; load cell is connected by a shielded cable to rear of instrument case; operable on 115 vac, 60 cycle source; kit functions on the basis of an applied load resulting in an unbalanced electrical bridge condition in the load cell; resultant voltage is compared witha voltage derived from the position of the indicator's slidewire
