Hazards

Health hazards acute and chronic: based on its composition, it is
anticipated to be irritating to the eyes & respiratory tract,
producing eye damage if not removed promptly, & may be rapidly
absorbed after inhalation exposure & skin c ontact. Prolonged or
repeated contact removes oils from the skin & may dry skin.

although this mix is expected to have a low level of lethality,
intentional exposure to a component by repeated inhalat ion has
resulted in brain damage. Mild to svere lung injury may occur if
drawn into the lungs (aspirated) during swallowing or vomiting. In
severe cases, death due to respiratory arrest may occur, or
pneumonia may develop.

effects of overexposure: prolonged or repeated contact cause irritation,
redness & rash. Overesposure to vapor may cause possible effects
such as headaches, fatigue, loss of coordination, decreases in
visual accuracy, dizzine ss, & nausea. Extreme exposures may
produce nausea, vomiting, irregulr heartbeat, extreme weakness,
tremors, impaired speech, heraing & vision, as well as pronounced
loss of coordination & impairment of reaction time. Long-term,
repeated exposure may produce nervousness, muscular fatiguie &
persistent sleepness. If swallowed may cause mouth & throat
irritation, nausea, vomiting & cns effects. Symp toms of injury are
increased breathing.

First Aid

First aid: if in eyes, immediately flush with plenty of water for 15
mins. Get medical aid. if on skin, immediately flush with plenty
of water. Remove contaminated clothing & shoes. Get medical aid.

wash clothi ng before reuse. Destroy contaminated shoes. if
swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give water to drink. Get medical
aid immediately. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. If inhales, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get
medical aid.
