A cylinder, closed at the upper end, which houses the piston, landiong gear strut. it may contain an air servicing valve and an orifice to allow fluid transfer from the piston during strut compression and extension. provisions for attachment of trunnion pin, drag brac (s), drag link(s), and torque arm(s) may also be included. excludes landing gear, fixed and landing gear, retractable.
