Rail Type Skid

An item consisting of horizontal parallel rails or tracks supported by framework mounted on runners. Designed for supporting cradled engines, missiles, component sections and the like, in a fixed position for shipping and storage. The rails mate with the rails of rail type trailers, rail type maintenance stands, and the like for transferring the cradles from one to the other. Excludes skid, shipping and storage, engine equipped with integral cradles for specific items.
