6maple wood, class a, 1 inch square; to inches long; mil-w-3912; prime with one coat cellulose sealer; finish with two spray coats of clear nitro-cellulose; blanks must be straight, smooth, free of splinters and sharp edges; set consist of four guage sticks; each stick has its own compartment number, to correspond with the four seperate compartment (1 through 4)of the 5000 gallon fuel tanker; the sticks vary only in increment settings; the capacity setting on each stick is 1250 gallons; increments, letters and numerals to be applied by screen-process printing(nitro-cellulose, color black) ; all letters and numerals unless otherwise specified are 5/16; all indicating lines to be 1/32 wide; compartment identification to begin 62 inches from end of the incremented end
