General Description
The bowl shall be designed and constructed to expand into a self-supporting leak-free open-top vessel when needed, and to collapse flat for storage. The bowl shall consist of an outer shell (sides and base) of tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant fabric (with or without internal supports), and a seamlesswaterproof liner. The bowl shall have a capacity of at least 40 fluid ounces.The bowl shall be fabricated of material that is resistant to damage from exposure to natural levels of ozone and ultraviolet light worldwide; and that is not biodegradable. The material shall remain flexible and non-tacky throughout the operating temperature range, and shall not be damaged by storage at high and low temperatures. The outer shell material shall have a non-absorbent, tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant surface that is washable with soap and water. The material shall have a dull (matte) finish. The color is optional.
