Marine Hoisting Boom

An arm designed to be mounted aboard a vessel for moving or handling various loads. In use the pivot end is attached to a supporting structure, the other end rigged to a mast or other rigid structure in such a manner that the angle of the arm may be adjusted, as required, to the horizontal. Rigging fittings and tackle may be furnished. Excludes boom, sail; and boom, pontoon barge.
