Forward Looking Infrared Imaging

A combination of items such as a receiver, infrared; transmitter, infrared, a display unit, and the like that together scan a two-dimensional plane for a forward field of vision. It optically images the infrared component of the object plane scene onto detectors, which generate coded electrical/electronic output representing the scene as a moving visible image. Excludes thermal imaging system.
