from soldering or ingestion may cause damage to nervous system,
intestinal, urinary, reproductive, and blood-forming systems.

chronic: lead can cause injury to devel oping fetus' and
reproductive systems. Women of child-bearing age should avoid
exposure to lead and lead compounds.

explanation of carcinogenicity: lead and some inorganic lead compouds
are listed by iarc as 2b (possible) carcinogens.
