An evacuation system designed to facilitate the rapid evacuation of personnel from a ship. It comprises one or more life raft, chute and storage unit and may be deck mounted or set into the hull of the ship. When activated the system slides out and falls to the surface of the water. As it falls, telescopic chutes are pulled open and one or more self-contained rafts are automatically inflated. Personnel evacuate via enclosed chutes and are delivered into the life raft.
