General Description

The fiber optic transceiver shall be designed to be compatable with the distance end fiber optic modem. The modem shall be a stand-alone module, capable of transmitting and receiving, an optical signal at rates up to 10 mbps, decode it and convert it to an electrical signal in ethernet v.2/ieee 802.3 format. It shall be compatable with ac ethernet rev. 2, ieee 802.3 or dc ethernet rev. 1; length 5.8 inches; width 0.8 inches; height 2.1 inches
