health hazards acute and chronic: inhalation of dust or fume from
cadmium and its compounds may cause irritation of the nose and
throat. If high concentrations are inhaled, a delayed reaction may
develop. Nickel and certain nickel com pounds may cause local
dermatitis from skin contact. Inhalation amy cause upper
respiratory irritation.

explanation of carcinogenicity: this material contains cadmium, nickel,
and compounds of these two metals.

effects of overexposure: if high concentrations are inhaled, a delayed
reaction of coughing, chest pain, sweating chills, shortness of
breath and weakness may develop. long term exposure may cause lung
injury and kidney disf unction. Bone lesious characterized by pain
in the back and extremities have also been reported.
