respiratory tract irritation. it is considered a low hazard for
normal industrial handling. Prolonged and/or repeated contact with
hydroquinone may cause liver or bone m arrow damage, although no
cases have been associated with this product.

explanation of carcinogenicity: iarc reports hydroquinone "insufficient
evidence to classify".
