tract. Symps may include coughing, shortness of breath. Ingest: as
w/other soluble zinc salts, zinc sulfate may hydrolyze into acid if
swallowed. Severe irrit & burns of mouth, throat& digestive
system may occur. Symps may include vomiting, stomach pain,
increased pulse rate w/out blood pressure decrease, blood pressure
decrease, acute pulmonary edema (fluid in lungs), diarrhea, kidney
damage, other gi disturbances & hemorrhagic pancreatitis. A
fatality following ingest of 10 grams has been reported. Skin:
causes irrit. Symptoms include redness, (efts of overexp)
effects of overexposure: hlth haz: itching, & pain. Eye: irritant, can
cause pain & redness, possible mechanical harm. May cause severe
irritation. Chronic: exposure may cause fatigue, slow tendon
reflexes, intestinal inflam mation (with bleeding), diarrhea, blood
effects, central nervous system depression, tremors and paralysis
of the extremities. Repeated skin or eye contact can cause skin and
eye effects.

disorders or impaired respiratory function may be more susceptible
to the effects of the substance.
