health hazards acute and chronic: acute: product is corrosive to eyes,
irritating to skin and respiratory tract, and may cause allergic
skin reaction. Chronic: may cause perforation of nazal septum,
respiratory irritation with asthma- like symptoms, liver damage
with yellowjaundice, skin rash, allergic skin reaction.

explanation of carcinogenicity: contains chrome, a known carcinogen.

effects of overexposure: causes severe burns. Prolonged/repeated
exposure may lead to allergic skin rash, perforated septum, asthma
symptoms, liver damage.

medical cond aggravated by exposure: asthma, allergies or sensitivity to
chromic acid or chromates. Preexisting skin conditions make persons
