health hazards acute and chronic: contact with liquid can cause
frostbite. Exposure to greater than 1000 ppm may lead to dizziness
and lack of coordination. A level of 2500 ppm is immediately
dangerous to life and health (idlh level). Chronic over-exposure
may cause liver damage. Smoking in areas where this chemical is
released can cause the formation of toxic and irritating halogens
and halogen acids which could be inhaled with t he smoke. Avoid
exposure to product and decomposition products when wearing contact
lenses. Clouding of lenses may occur.
