effects of overexposure: symptoms following ingestion of diquat
concentrate may initially include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain
and severe irritation of the mouth, throat and esophagus. These can
be followed by kidney fail ure and other internal organ
involvement. symptoms of inhalation overexposure may include
headache, nosebleed, sore throat and coughing. Symptoms of humna
eye contact may include pain, tearing, swell ing, redness, and
blurred vision. Other effects of overexposure: no other clinical
effects have been associated with exposure to this material.

First Aid

First aid: eye-immediately flush with water for 15 mins. Have eyes
examined/treated by medical person. Skin-wash off the skin with
soap & water. If redness occurs or diquat contacts skin
cut/abrasion, get medic al aid. swallowed-provided patient is
conscious, wash out mouth with water. Induce vomiting by sticking
the finger down throat. Repeat until vomitus is clear. Contact
zeneca(1-800-327-8633). If bento nite, activated charcoal or
fuller's earth nearby, administer. Get medical aid. Inhaled-remove
to fresh air. If not breathing, give mouth-to-mouth. If breathing
is labored, give oxygen. consult medic al personnel.
