diethylene glycol. Observations in animals include kidney and
liver effects and deposition of calcium salts in tissues after
dietary intake of ethylene glycol.

explanation of carcinogenicity: none of the compounds in this chemical
is listed by iarc,ntp or osha as a carcinogen.

effects of overexposure: eye: may cause temporary irritation. Skin:
nonirritating. Repeated exposure may result in absorption of

irritation. skin: mildly irritating and slightly toxic on
prolonged or repeated contact. inhalation: vapors are mildly to
markedly irritating to the lungs. ingestion: m ay be harmful or
fatal. May produce cnsdepression and kidney damage. Possible liver
damage also.

effects of overexposure: early to moderate cns depression may be
eidenced by giddiness, headache, dizziness and nausea. In extreme
cases, unconscoiusness and death. Kidney damage may be evidenced by
changes in urine output, u rine appearance or edema. Liver damage
may be evidenced by loss of appetite. Faundice and sometimes pain
in upper abdom.

First Aid
