The modular computer is alight weight modular computer with accessories.It consists of a small lightweight computer, a flexible and a rugged keyboard, mouse, touch pad, vga display, sp-tcim, and a head-mounted display.These components are connected via the interconnect group chassis.It can also be operated with other rrep-ss-3 program equipment to compliment full signal exploitation capabilities.The rrep prpogram was intiated in 1991.This suite of equipment is being developed to meet the requirements specified in the operational requirements document ccc 1.43, approved 03 july 1995 and promulgated by the assistant commandant of the marine corps under the title radio reconnaissance equipment program.The ord also states rrep-ss-3 will be low-density equipment with minimal logistics support requirements.The rrep-ss-3 program is the fourth generation suite of equipment developed under rrep and will replace rrep-ss-2 in 3qfy04 on a one for one basis
