health hazards acute and chronic: methyl ethyl ketone is an eye & skin
irritant, affects the nervous system & is a teratogen in lab
animals. Ethanol is a milk irritant to rabbit skin & a severe eye
irritant. Ethanol is reported to ca use teratogenicity, cns
depression and gastrointestinal distress from oral consumption by
humans. Molybdenum compounds may be slightly irritating. Inorganic
lead compounds have the potential to bioacc umulate & cause lead
poisoning. Chrnic overexposure to lead has cause target organ &
reproductive effects. antimony compounds have caused benign &
malignant lung tumors in lab animals. Phenol is toxi c orally;
severe skin & eye irritant.

explanation of carcinogenicity: inorganic lead is listed by iarc as an
animal definite and human indefinite carcinogen. Formaldehyde is
listed by iarc as an indefinite human carcinogen and a positive
animal carcinogen. Ntp lists fo rmaldehyde as a "reasonably
anticipated" carcinogen.

effects of overexposure: eyes: irritation, redness, blurred vision.

skin-prolonged contact can cause irritation, dermatitis.

inhalation-can cause irritation, dizziness, nausea, fatigue,
headache, unconsciousness or asphyxiati on. Ingestion-can cause
gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

medical cond aggravated by exposure: none specified by manufacturer.

First Aid

First aid: skin: wash with soap & water. Eyes: flush with water. Get

Reactivity

Hazard and precautions: target organs: n/p. May cause lead poisoning, cns
effects, respiratory irritation, skin irritation/sensitization. Spill: dike
area. Clean up by mopping or with absorbent. Fire: use co2, foam, dry chem
ical..

Proper Disposal

spill release procedures: evacuate the area, ventilate, and avoid breathing
vapors. Dike area to contain spill. Clean up area (wear protective equipment)
by mopping or with absorbent material and place in closed containers for
disposal. Avoid contamination of ground and surface waters. Do not flush to
sewers.

neutralizing agent: not provided
waste disposal methods: recovered liquids may be sent to a licensed reclaimer
or incineration facility. Contaminated material must be disposed of in a
permitted hazardous waste management facility. Consult federal, state or
local disposal authorities for approved procedures.

handling and storage precautions: store in cool place. Keep liquid and vapor
away from heat, sparks and flame. Surfaces that are sufficiently hot may
ignite even liquid product in the absence of sparks or flame. Extinguish
pilot light , cigarettes and turn off other sources of ignition prior to use
and until all vapors are gone.

other precautions: vapors may accumulate and tarvel to ignition sources distant
from the handling site: flash-fire can result. Keep containers closed when
not in use. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not cut, drill, gr ind or weld
near containers. Avoid breathing vapors.
