Aliphatic Naphtha

A volatile, mobile, inflammable fluid obtained from the fractional distillation of petroleum and consisting chiefly of mixed hydrocarbons of the straight carbon chain (aliphatic or paraffin) series. Used as a solvent in industrial processess, as a paint thinner, and the like. Excludes naphtha, aromatic; naphtha, cleaner's; naphtha, compass; naphtha, spark plug testing; and petroleum ether (as modified).
