Motor Launch

An open or largely undecked watercraft powered by an internal combustion engine driving a marine propeller. It is designed for heavy duty services such as stores carrying, kedging, and the like. It is carvel planked and is usually provided with stern platform and rail for helmsman who operates the tiller. The open design of this craft permits easy adaptation to special services such as surveying, refueling or similar operations.
