Hoisting Adapter

An item usually rigid in construction designed to be attached to another item to adapt it to an eye, ring, loop, or the like, for hoisting. For items designed to be used for hoisting and also provide accommodations for adapting a jack to an aircraft jacking point, see adapter, aircraft jacking point.
