Contact Lens

A tiny, thin transparent optical element, or a combination of elements specifically designed to be placed over the cornea of the eye. It is shaped so that it serves to change the degree of convergence or divergence of the transmitted rays. The element is usually made from hard or soft optical glass or plastic. It may be worn for a short or extended period of time.
