Aircraft Turbine Wheel Assembly

An item consisting of blades or vanes equally spaced around the periphery or face of a hub, rotor, or wheel. Designed to receive the energy of compressed air directed through nozzle vanes and impinged upon the blades of the turbine wheel creating rotary energy and motion. Drives an impeller or fan and discharges cool air. Consists of two matched wheels, one smaller than the other, mounted together to form a single turbine wheel. It is a rotating part of an aircraft cooling turbine.
