A headless fastener not exceeding twelve inches (304.8 mm) in length, threaded externally on both ends with threads of the same diameter. One end or both ends may have a point. the unthreaded section may have more than one diameter, none of which may be greater than the major thread diameter. it may be thread relieved. excludes items with taper threads.
