Radiographic Grid

An item made with alternating strips of lead and an x-ray transmitting material arranged lengthwise or in a crosshatch pattern and protected with top and bottom covers. It may be bound in a metal frame when not designed to be built into a cassette. It is used with x-ray accessories. Excludes grid, x-ray apparatus, which covers items designed as an integral part of the apparatus.
