Leveling-support Jack

A device usually of single leg construction incorporating one of the various methods of jacking. The base end contacts the ground or floor, and the opposite end or upper portion has facilities for attaching to the item to be supported. It is used as an auxiliary support for leveling and/or preventing movement. Excludes jack, leveling-support guided missile erector-launcher; jack, transportable shelter; and support, retractable, semitrailer. See also jack (as modified).
