Retractable Type Fall Arrester

A device which consists of a reel on which a life line automatically winds and unwinds thanks to a braking mechanism. In the event of user's fall, the device braking mechanism automatically stops the life line. It is usually equipped with one or more fasteners such as snap hook; swive (as modified) ; and the like. It may have an energy absorber. Excludes fall arrester assembly, guided type.
