Leaf Spring Wear Plate

A rigid metallic item of various shapes, designed for mounting on vehicular frames, spring bracket, tandem axle housing, and the like, to prevent wear on plain end type or auxillary leaf springs as the result of sliding or friction. It may have a flat or convex bearing surface and may be riveted, welded, or bolt mounted. See also bumper.
