Mount Pintle

A forked or pinlike item used as a pivot on gun mounts, machine gun mounts and tripod mounts for lateral and/or vertical movement of machine guns, recoilless rifles, and the like. It may be a forked or pinlike shaped item. It may be drilled, grooved or slotted to accommodate a locking device. Excludes clevis, rod end; hook, pintle; and pintle assembly, towing.
