Metal Seal Ring

A circular shaped item designed to be installed in a specially prepared groove or counterbore to provide a low pressure seal. It may be supplied in various cross-sectional shapes and is cut through at one point to allow for installation and fitting. Excludes items whose primary function is to provide sealing, wiping, or wearing surface capabilities for piston configurations. See also ring, piston and ring, wiper.
