Surface Plate Square

A precision tool designed for use with surface plates for inspection or layout operations and to provide a simple and effective means of obtaining a reference line contacting the work in any plane. It consists of precision ground ends parallel to each other and square with the longitudinal axis. The working surfaces may be continuous or broken by concave divisions equally spaced to develop a narrower working surface.
