Flexible Disk

A round flat item which is used as a storage media, it is rotated in order to read or write data on one or both sides. The item may have a magnetic coating and be stored in a paper/plastic envelope, or it may be designed as an optical storage media with pits on a reflecting surface that are served by means of an optical device or a laser beam.
