Propellant Actuated Initiator

An item which produces gas pressure of short duration, less than one (1) second, by the burning of an uncased, self-contained propellant charge. It may include an electrical ignition element. It is designed to activate aircraft canopy removers, catapults, release mechanisms, and the like.
