Fiber Optic Receptacle Connector

A fiber optic fitting with or without contact (s) constructed to be affixed to a fiber optic cable to join with another fiber optic connector(s) and is designed to be mounted on a bulkhead, wall, chassis, panel, or printed wiring board. It may or may not include facilities for holding a device, such as a semiconductor, but does not include the device itself. Excludes connector, receptacle, electrical; lampholder; jack, telephone; socket (as modified); dummy connector, receptacle; jack assembly, tip; and plug assembly, tip.
