Carbide Tip Hardened Steel Drill

An end-cutting tool having an inserted carbide cutting tip rated for cutting hardened steel, fixed to one end of a round or hexagonal steel shank. The shank is usually undercut in back of the tip but does not contain any grooves or flutes. For fluted items with carbide tips, see drill, straight flute and drill, twist. Excludes drill, masonry, rotary driven.
