Universal Jaw Chuck

An accessory used for holding objects directly to the spindle of a machine, arbor, shaft, or the like, without the use of centers. Two or more self-centering jaws are adjusted simultaneously, usually by rotation of a scroll gear which engages slots or teeth in the back of the jaws. rated capacity is in excess of one (1) inch (25.4 mm) diameter.
