Miter Box Saw

A woodcutting handsaw fitted with a reinforcing steel back extending the full length of the blade. The blade is of uniform width and is restricted to a width of 4 inches (101.6 millimeters) or more. A handle of the closed grip type is attached at one end. Used with a miter box to make accurate angular and straight cuts. See also saw, back; and saw, dovetail.
