Drafting Machine

An instrument primarily used in drafting, consisting of two joined arms, one end being secured to a stationary surface and the other end equipped with an adjustable protractor and removable ruled scal (s); or two rigid beams, one beam anchored across full length of top of drawing board, the other beam perpendicular to top beam equipped with adjustable protractor and removable ruled scale(s) . It is used as a guide for drawing parallel lines at any angle on a chart or drawing, or transmitting reference points.
