Precipitation Gage

An item which collects and measures the depth of accumulated rain, snow, and/or sleet. It may be a direct reading type or may incorporate mechanis (s) for transmitting, recording and/or indicating the measurements over a specific time frame. The instrument may be heated and/or insulated to permit operations below freezing temperatures.
