Spherical Plain Bearing

A detachable part in or on which a journal, gudgeon, pivot, or the like moves. It is used to carry a load and to reduce sliding friction. It does not employ rolling elements. It may be divided into two or more segments of 180 degrees (3.141 radians) or less. The item has a cylindrical bore and is basically spherical in its exterior design to allow for shaft misalignment. Excludes bearing, plain, self-aligning.
