Aircraft Acoustical Insulation

An item composed of fiber, plastic foam, synthetic material, etc., in various shapes and sizes and may contain bolt hol (s). It is attached to the airframe and designed to entrap and dissipate sound energy. Excludes insulation, thermal (as modified); insulation blanket, cabin, aircraft; and insulation blanket, thermal (as modified) .
