Radio Frequency Bolometer

An item consisting of a radiant-energy heat-transducing element such as a thermistor, whose resistance changes with the absorption of radio frequency energy, contained in a cavity or other housing. May include tuning adjustments, pick-up loops, flexible transmission line, battery case, and the like. Usually used with a summation bridge to measure radio frequency power.
