S-units Meter

An instrument whose movement is actuated by the flow of electric current when inserted in an appropriate circuit. It is used to measure the strength of a received signal. The value is usually expressed on a scale calibrated in s-units or some multiple thereof. The scale may also have decibel markings above a reference s-unit level. The value may also be expressed as a digital readout display.
