Aircraft Cooling Impeller Wheel

An item consisting of blades, vanes or paddles equally spaced around the periphery or face of a hub, rotor or wheel. It is turbine wheel or shaft driven. Designed primarily as a means for absorbing the energy and to act as a governing force for a turbine wheel. Also aids in drawing ram air through a heat exchanger. May be used to compress the air required to drive the turbine wheel. It is a rotating part of an aircraft cooling turbine.
