Guid Inertial Measurement Device

An electromechanical and/or electronic, self-contained, automatically controlling device. It is designed to be mounted on the body or contained within the guidance section of an air launched missile. Its funtion is to measure linear acceleration, angular rate, delta-velocity and delta-altitude. It contains sensors, accelerometers, gyroscopes and the like. Excludes inertial navication system.
