Machinist's Vise

A clamping device consisting of a base, one stationary and one manual screw or hydraulic ram actuated jaw, and one or more guide bars or rods. The jaw width is usually 2-1/2 inches (63.5mm) or greater. Designed to be bolt mounted to bench, table or the like. Excludes vises with pipe holding jaws. See also vise, bench and pipe.
