Ball Socket Seat

A rigid item, usually circular in shape, having a concave or bevel bearing surface on one end. It is designed to mate with and provide a wear surface for the ball of a ball stud, control rod, arm, or the like. The other end is usually flat, flanged, or offset and is usually designed to mate with a flat surface or spring. Includes metal items having a plastic ball socket insert. See also washer, concave.
